The Legal Office

• reviews national statutes before they are approved by the Presidency;
• provides answers to the CIOFS Presidency and National Fraternities on matters concerning the clarification and/or practical application of the Rule, the GGCC, the Ritual and the FIOFS Statute;
• responds to various requests for procedural clarifications and on various issues from members of the CIOFS Presidency;
• prepares various documents;
• it has verified the uniformity of the Regulations of the CIOFS Secretariats and the General Treasury, as well as the consistency and legal terminology of the FIOFS Statute;
• it prepares opinions for the decision on recourses, the confirmation or not of decrees of dismissal from the OFS (in the absence of the National Council) and the related decrees and accompanying letters after the decision of the CIOFS Presidency;
• deals with any other juridical issues submitted to it by the CIOFS Presidency or by the national Fraternities.
