Hugolin naquit dans une famille noble de Camerino, en Italie, et v\u00e9cut une vie privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e. Apr\u00e8s la mort de ses parents, il se sentit appel\u00e9 \u00e0 la vie religieuse, devenant fr\u00e8re mineur franciscain tertiaire et renon\u00e7ant \u00e0 sa richesse pour aider les pauvres.<\/p>\n
Hugolin s\u2019engagea dans un voyage de solitude et de pri\u00e8re en tant qu\u2019ermite. Il chercha l\u2019isolement pour approfondir sa relation avec Dieu et se consacra \u00e0 une vie d\u2019aust\u00e9rit\u00e9 et de pri\u00e8re, interc\u00e9dant pour les besoins des autres.<\/p>\n
Hugolin \u00e9tait profond\u00e9ment engag\u00e9 au service de ceux qui recherchaient une orientation spirituelle. Malgr\u00e9 sa pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour la solitude, beaucoup furent attir\u00e9s par son ermitage. Il \u00e9coutait patiemment, offrait de sages conseils et guidait les autres dans leur cheminement spirituel, gagnant une r\u00e9putation de compassion et d\u2019attention.<\/p>\n
Le bienheureux Hugolin Magalotti resta d\u00e9vou\u00e9 \u00e0 Dieu et au service des autres tout au long de sa vie. Son adh\u00e9sion \u00e0 la pauvret\u00e9, \u00e0 l\u2019humilit\u00e9 et \u00e0 l\u2019altruisme refl\u00e9tait les enseignements de saint Fran\u00e7ois d\u2019Assise. L\u2019engagement d\u2019Hugolin dans la pri\u00e8re et l\u2019accompagnement spirituel a inspir\u00e9 tous ceux qui l\u2019ont rencontr\u00e9.<\/p>\n
Le bienheureux Hugolin Magalotti est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 le 11 d\u00e9cembre 1373. Sa mort a \u00e9t\u00e9 calme et paisible, sans signe de maladie ou de souffrance. La saintet\u00e9 de sa vie et l\u2019impact qu\u2019il a eu sur ceux qui l\u2019entouraient ont \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnus par l\u2019\u00c9glise catholique. Le 4 d\u00e9cembre 1856, le pape Pie IX a b\u00e9atifi\u00e9 Hugolin Magalotti, reconnaissant officiellement son culte, ou d\u00e9votion populaire, parmi les fid\u00e8les.<\/p>\n
